wads the point of having credit cards if you have to earn 30k in the first place - assuming your loaded with cash all you need is a debit card isn't it? of cuz, that assumes your cash is liquid and not stashed in paper stocks/fixed dep, but stocks are highly risky in the short run so it makes hardly any sense to withdraw/tap on margin for short term financial gratification. perhaps its just abt prestige. gold/platinum/titanium cards - they elevate one's social status. but for disorganized ppl they represent 18% interest every quarter on unpaid balance in US, while treasury bill rates are a mere 6% and bankruptcy is on the rise with Bush administration pushing for bankruptcy laws amendments.
